In the first two days of school the class was set a challenge of creating balloon powered vehicles (working in groups of three). They were shown a few pictures and given a range of materials. The challenge was to get the vehicles to travel a combined distance of 10 meters.
It was challenging and there was a lot of trial and error but the students showed great creativity, innovation and perseverance.
Some groups tried many designs and it still proved a little difficult, we may have needed extra materials to make it easier. Krisha and Hani decided to make another creation that they named, “Little Cutie.”
We ended up with three vehicles that worked and together they traveled a distance of 10.8 metres. Though some may have been disappointed their car didn’t work, the process of learning through exploration was vibrant in the class.

I look forward to keeping you posted about future class endeavors. Enjoy the long weekend.
